Meet the team:

  Mariel Neto - Writer/Actor   Mariel Neto began her career in entertainment working in professional theatre by the age of ten. After a success career on the stage, she fell in love with the camera after acting in her first feature film, Seven Minutes. Since then she has worked on a variety of films and television shows, including Showtime’s critically-acclaimed Masters of Sex. An avid writer of short fiction, poetry, and plays, Mariel was driven to explore screenwriting after moving to Los Angeles. Usually in front of the camera, this is her first foray into the production side of filmmaking. She has a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts where she studied Acting and Playwriting.

  Kate de los Santos - Director   Kate de los Santos is a writer and photographer whose work has been featured in Playboy, Vice and The New Yorker. While growing up in the North Carolina film industry, she fell in love with the filmmaking process, prompting her move to California. After living in San Francisco and working at Dwell magazine, she moved to Los Angeles and shortly began her career in television as a researcher and casting producer. Recently, she worked as a producer on a bevy of short films for the women-run Sleeping Girl Productions. This is her first project as a director.

Kate de los Santos - Director

Kate de los Santos is a writer and photographer whose work has been featured in Playboy, Vice and The New Yorker. While growing up in the North Carolina film industry, she fell in love with the filmmaking process, prompting her move to California. After living in San Francisco and working at Dwell magazine, she moved to Los Angeles and shortly began her career in television as a researcher and casting producer. Recently, she worked as a producer on a bevy of short films for the women-run Sleeping Girl Productions. This is her first project as a director.

  Jessica Pantoja - Cinematographer    Jessica Pantoja is a cinematographer from Mexico who honed her skills as a camera assistant under talented Mexican and American cinematographers. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue an education as a Director of Photography and received her MFA specializing in Cinematography at AFI. Her thesis film Manners of Dying was screened in several film festivals (including CameraImage, Cine Gear Expo and VIZIO filmmakers Challenge 2017) around the world contending for awards in Cinematography. This year, she worked with NYLON Magazine and completed her first feature film The Longest Night.

Jessica Pantoja - Cinematographer

Jessica Pantoja is a cinematographer from Mexico who honed her skills as a camera assistant under talented Mexican and American cinematographers. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue an education as a Director of Photography and received her MFA specializing in Cinematography at AFI. Her thesis film Manners of Dying was screened in several film festivals (including CameraImage, Cine Gear Expo and VIZIO filmmakers Challenge 2017) around the world contending for awards in Cinematography. This year, she worked with NYLON Magazine and completed her first feature film The Longest Night.

  Tina Carbone - Producer   Tina Carbone graduated from North Texas University and has been producing film and media content for almost two decades.  She has worked with high-profile clients including Makers Kit, Fresh 20, About.com, and eHydrate. She is credited as a producer on over twenty short films, three of which (Fragile Storm, Comrade Crunch, and Killer Friends) have showcased at numerous festivals and won multiple awards.
